Boston Green Business Awards
Boston Green Business Awards
The City of Boston is planning to launch an annual
award for businesses that incorporate sustainability principles into
their business model.
Awards will be given in three categories:
-
Green Business Product
-
Green Business Service
-
Green Businesses Practices
Awards
will be given to both large and small companies.
In
addition to providing recognition for businesses that incorporate
sustainability principles into their business practices, the purpose
of the program is to encourage Boston businesses to learn about
sustainable business practices and to launch their own
sustainability programs.
The program will be officially
announced in January of 2007. The first awards will be given
out during Earth Week in April of 2007.
The awards program is the
result of a collaboration between the Mayor's office, the Boston
Redevelopment Authority, and the Business Summit for a Sustainable
Boston. |
